Europe gets the E version which has no default browser installed. (Internet Explorer removed due to ruling by European Union)
They are currently working on some sort of browser install concept which had IE, Chrome, Firefox and bunch of other to choose from when setting the system up the first time. *

Windows 7 (Windows NT 6.1) is forked off from Windows Vista. (Windows NT 6.0)
It has had some kernel level changes and some noticeable User Interface changes (updated Aero and different taskbar called superbar).
It will obviously have more new features because it's the next OS from MS. So they will tie some of their newer apps and stuff to atleast for some time. Except they already announced the backport of DirectX 11 to Vista. *

The somewhat recent build screenshots revealed the integration of Windows Vista SP1 to the Windows 7 development builds. *

Also the UAC has been changed to allow more types of control. The changes mainly add some whitelisting and automated authetication which of course has lead to some critical security flaws since future malware will target machines running UAC on lowered security levels.

For Vista veterans the changes are not very large. More options and dialogues here and there. Biggest change would be the mentioned User Interface. *

Windows 7 has plenty of smaller changes that i don't bother to list atm. such as native ISO burning, automated wallpaper changing, snappy windows, the system score goes now to 8.0 lol *
