lol they were deleted just a moment ago. i got cut of at 12% and now nothing works and some of the links redirect (didn't post all here) to the win7 main page.

keeps cutting off at around 300MB *

still not working and downloads are cutting at ~300MB
the key generation page is also still giving errors. People say it gives a key at random so opening it in 100 tabs would work... but after 200 tabs still nothing. *

STEP 1

select sign in and create a new live ID if necessary (MAKE SURE TO SET COUNTRY AS UNITED STATES and give seemingly valid details and correct zip code for selected area)
STEP 3
Browse the site a bit. check random stuff out like in the download section just open some of the pages so you get some cookies.
STEP 4

it doesn't matter if it gives error or that download is down, you only do this to get the cookie from the page
STEP 5
go to the key generation link of your choice (32- or 64-bit)
and it should give you a key (or an error page)

Download Windows 7 beta either through the direct links or via torrents. (you need the checksum to verify nobody has modified the ISO and added anything nasty) *

Went through the official process properly now (e-mail and everything) and it still gave me one of the above keys. Maybe it doesn't matter then... Maybe they are universal unrestricted keys... or not. gotta test and see *

people are speculating that MS decided to drop the unique key generation and just hand out a selected bunch of keys instead. OR that the limit has been reached (2.5m keys)
End User Lisence Agreement also states you can use your key in as many computers as you'd like so go figure...
only real way to find out is to test it out and see what happens. *

got it off Rapidshare/Megaupload
the filename and CRC match but i ran into a little prob called HOW DO I VERIFY THE d*mn sha1 ON WINDOWS?? funnily there is ridiculously easy way to do it on a MAC. 
i guess i'll try the heavily outdated FCIV.exe that Microsoft has
or i'll find a way to do it with Ubuntu. Seriously this is stupid... I mean there is plenty of results in google for this but none seem reliable enough for me. the programs at download.com had 8000 DLs at best and most of them had 5-50 DLs and NO USER REVIEWS etc. and then the other annoyance is instead of decent downloads i get walls of text about cryptography and noone cares about... GOD! *
